Intercultural Expert (ICE) – Training Course with University Certification of the Steinbeis University Berlin, Area Cultural Management
The certificate training course “ICE” of the Steinbeis-Transfer-Institut Kulturtransfer covers all areas of interculturally-oriented corporate identity providing management with the necessary skills to adjust to this cultural diversity and changing working conditions. The idea of intercultural competency is firmly moving into the design of corporate objectives and corporate values.
Intercultural competencies are reflected in many everyday fields of corporate activity. There are many dos and don’ts to consider – for HR, marketing and communication departments as well as for project management.

Overview of modules:
- M 1 Basic values of cultures: Recognizing and understanding of cultural basic values
- M 2 Empathy: Reflection of one’s perception spectrum
- M 3 Symbol formation: Knowledge and understanding of culture-specific symbols and their adaptation.
- M 4 Value management: Understanding of holistic corporate responsibility
- M 5 Intercultural communication competency: Evaluation competency of value-based corporate identity
- M 6 Mentoring and conflict management: Conflict resolution through mentoring
- M 7 Core Value/Corporate Identity – Project impulses: Transfer of project impulses
- M 8 Project scheme production: Real added-value and knowledge transfer of intercultural awareness in corporate philosophy [values, identity]
Workshop contents:
Intercultural encounters, body language, neutral masks. The workshops are integrated into the modules.
Admission requirements:
University entrance qualification. A minimum of 2 years of working experience in management, HR and organizational development, work and industrial psychology, diversity, corporate communications or others.

Course certificate:
The validity of the certificate is unlimited
Credits:
The completion of the entire training course will be credited with 10 ETCS

For groups with a minimum of 6 participants dates can be arranged on request
Structure and duration:
Face-to-face seminars 5 x 2 days; self-learning and transfer days; project scheme as final paper
